Your back-up doulas

You will never be left without support

A backup doula is an experienced birth professional who will provide seamless support during your labor and birth should I become unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances.

Both are experienced, certified birth professionals who know your birth preferences before they ever walk into the room.

Not sure which support fits your family?

Let's talk it through

Why choose a doula

Someone whose only job is you

Your nurses change shifts. Your doctor manages several rooms. A doula stays — through every hour, every decision, and every quiet moment in between.

What is a doula?

A birth companion and advocate who promotes emotional autonomy over your birth, your body, and your baby. Promoting positive birth outcomes, postpartum health, and mother/fatherhood.

Watercolour illustration of a doula holding and comforting a labouring mother in a hospital bed.

Advocacy in Hospital Settings

I help you ask the questions you might not think of in the moment, make sure your preferences reach your care team, and stay beside you so decisions are never made over your head.

Mental & Emotional Support

A calm, non-judgmental presence for the hard conversations, the fear, and the joy — before, during and after birth.

Physical Support & Relief

Counter-pressure, positioning, massage, movement and breath work that measurably ease labor and shorten it.

Remedies & Comfort Measures

Herbal and natural comfort remedies studied through apprenticeship, used alongside — never instead of — your medical care.

Education & Informed Choice

Plain-language explanations of your options so you can give genuine informed consent at every step.

Resources & Assistance

Referrals and connections to lactation, mental health, nutrition and community programs across King and Pierce County.

Better Outcomes for Parent & Baby

Continuous doula support is associated with fewer interventions, better birth experiences, and reduced infant and maternal mortality risk.

Support That Follows You Home

Care does not end at discharge. The postpartum weeks are when many families need a doula most.

Watercolour illustration of a parent holding their newborn skin to skin just after birth.

The golden hour

Those first minutes together, protected — so bonding and feeding get the calm start they deserve.

Watercolour illustration of a swaddled newborn resting in a parent's arms in hospital.

Advocacy Support

Someone in the room who knows your birth plan, your history, and what you asked for.

Home together

Support that follows you home, through recovery, feeding and the fourth trimester.

She is amazing! If I have another baby I would securely choose her again and highly recommend her.

Birth & Postpartum Support

You were absolutely amazing during my birth experience. The support, calm presence and encouragement made such a difference for me. You helped me feel more confident and cared for every step of the way. I'm so grateful!

Vitoria M.

Birth Support

My experience was amazing! Jasmine was there every step of the way! She made sure if I was asking her a question & forgot to ask the nurse she was on top of it! She made sure that all my needs were met. Jasmine was very comforting when it came time to make a decision I wasn't ready to make! Wiped my tears & made sure to keep high positive thoughts while I was laying on the table! Jasmine worked so hard & made sure she came to check on me after delivery. 10/10 would recommend!!

You being my doula is very flexible, you know how to respond in a timely manner, you're busy and still try to keep up!

Birth & Postpartum Support

Jasmine was absolutely amazing! She was very supportive, kind, and helpful throughout my entire stay. Jasmine was also very knowledgeable, understanding and an overall patient person. I would definitely recommend her as your doula if expecting!!

Iesha B.

Birth Support

The tips you gave me were so helpful even though during the hospital portion went fast since I showed up at 10 cm. But the texts and support throughout the day was very impactful. Next child, I will definitely have you around from the beginning to end!

Karey S.

Birth & Postpartum Support

My pregnancy journey was anything but ordinary. I was super high risk with a 50/50 chance of me and my baby making it out of the hospital alive. Jasmine was very genuine and showed me kindness and compassion despite everything I was going through. She let me talk and cry without judgment and was a safe space to try to make sense of everything that was happening to me. Her calm presence and light hearted spirit helped keep me grounded. My daughter was born and Jasmine was right by my side, she had faith in all good things and it never waivered even in the moments that didn't seem to have a light at the end. She stayed strong for me and my daughter…and I am forever grateful. I now have a healthy beautiful baby girl and am able to call Jasmine my friend.

Questions

What families usually ask first

If your question isn't here, just call or send a message — no question is too small.

What exactly does a doula do?

A doula is a birth companion and advocate who promotes emotional autonomy over your birth, your body, and your baby. I provide continuous non-medical support — physical comfort, information, and advocacy — before, during and after birth, promoting positive birth outcomes, postpartum health, and mother/fatherhood. I do not replace your midwife, doctor or nurse; I work alongside them.

How much does doula support cost?

If you are actively enrolled in Medicaid, Molina, or Apple Health, your doula support is completely free. Billing is handled directly through ProviderOne, so you will never receive an invoice. If you are not enrolled, reach out and we can talk through your options.

Which areas of Washington do you serve?

I serve families throughout King County and Pierce County, including Seattle, Kent, Renton, Federal Way, Auburn, Bellevue, Tacoma, Puyallup and Lakewood.

Do you support Cesarean births?

Yes. I have experience with and have supported all types of births, from unmedicated natural birth to planned caesareans, and unplanned Caesareans. Each birth is different, and I take pride in prioritizing your wants and wishes alongside the health of you and your baby.

When should I book a doula?

Most families reach out during the second trimester, which gives us time to build trust, write your birth plan and practice comfort techniques together. That said, I have supported families who contacted me in their final weeks — it is never too late to ask.

What are your certifications?

I am Washington State certified (credential BDC.BD.61502563), ProviderOne / Medicaid certified, and completed the S.M.C. Full Circle Doula Training as well as continuing education through DONA International. I apprenticed with Natasha Blanchard through 2023 studying herbal remedies and emotional support in women's health.

What happens if you are unavailable when I go into labor?

You will never be left without support. I work with experienced backup doulas — Natasha Blanchard, my mentor and primary birth backup, and Audreana Fomby-Stewart of Greater Births LLC — who step in seamlessly should I become unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances.

Do you offer postpartum support as well as birth support?

Yes. I am a full spectrum doula, which means I support the entire journey — prenatal care, birthing support, and postpartum care. Many families find the postpartum weeks are when they need a doula most.
